The verse above does not speak of raiding some church for a huge wooden cross, and then carrying it around on one's back for life. On the contrary, taking up one's cross simply means to take up one's will. In other words . . . surrender. Conversion is a Divine work of the Holy Spirit that takes place immediately upon our confession of Faith in Jesus Christ. However, Transformation is another story, and requires us to walk in total surrender to God by renewing our mind through daily bible study, cultivating our relationship with God through prayer, and obediently following God's instruction, as he works in and through us to fulfill his will. Our products were created to assist Believers in that transformative process.
The original Affirm The Word book is a compilation of indexed scriptures, topical reflections, affirmations and prayers. It was created by our founder, J. Marie Jones, to help others learn God's word and engage in the spiritual practice of speaking life—with faith, power, and authority on a daily basis—in other words . . . Affirm The Word!
The Affirm The Word project was developed during the Covid-19 pandemic. It will soon become a trademarked brand, offering books and products that promote spiritual growth and personal development to Believers all over the world. We pray these tools and this site will help anyone seeking to follow Christ internalize God's word and affirm it over their lives, as they endeavor to renew their mind and be transformed into His image (Romans 12:2).

AFFIRM THE WORD — STATEMENT OF FAITH
- WE believe in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power.
- WE believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return.
- WE believe that man was created by and for God; that by man's disobeying God, every person incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death as a consequence; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice.
- WE believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and was raised from the dead to offer us new life and that all who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and His life-giving resurrection are, therefore, in the right relationship with God.
- WE believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit indwelling all believers and thus enabling and empowering the life and ministry of the believer.
- WE believe in the bodily resurrection of everyone who has lived, the everlasting blessedness of those in right relationship with God, and the everlasting punishment of those who have rejected God's forgiveness and new life in His Son.

I started Affirm The Word Literary in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic after realizing there were many women of all backgrounds, suffering with various common life issues, (divorce, anxiety, family conflict, low self-worth, etc.) and no idea of what to do. For me, intentional journaling and daily affirmations is a spiritual practice. I truly believe that this outlet saved my life, by helping me navigate the aftermath of my divorce, overcome the loss of a six-figure career, and reverse diagnosed behavioral and academic issues with our child.

There's nothing like calling on God and seeing him answer. Sadly, when trouble comes, many of us forget the wonders God has performed in our life. Writing down our prayer, and God's answers, helps us stand in confidence that no matter what—God is in control!

When we write down our prayers, and acknowledge that we will wait on God's supernatural will and timing to manifest in every situation, we can no longer just haul off and do things our way when we don't think God is moving fast enough. Much like a spiritual contract, we are affirming through the written word that we trust and will wait on God.

The word says that there are times when we ask/pray, and do not receive because our prayers are not in alignment with God's will. Writing our prayers down, as we get into God's word helps us to focus on God's will and way concerning our petition, and not ours.

God's word instructs us to write the vision he places in our heart and make it plain so that we are inspired to run toward our purpose when we read it. The same can be said about your prayers. They too are a vision that God places in our heart—evidenced when the manifested outcome brings glory to him.

Our literary safe spaces allow women to pour out their experiences on pages to gain self-awareness, personal growth, and cultivate one's spiritual development. We are dedicated to their progressive journey to wholeness and spiritual wellbeing. Creating products that empower women to take the leap in pursuing self-reflection and self-worth through God’s eyes is our ultimate goal.
Our ESG Commitment
A commitment to environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) has always been our primary focus, along with customer engagement. One way we do this is through our Blemished Beauty program, where we offer slightly damaged journals to customers at the cost of shipping. This allows individuals who may not be able to afford a retail copy to still benefit from our products.
.Furthermore, in 2021 and 2022 we made monetary donations ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 to two female-led organizations that serve the needs of women and girls in NYC and Long Island, NY. We are committed to continuing our support by donating at least $1,000 to one female-owned and operated organization every year through our #affirmtheword challenge. This challenge recognizes women who have battled through and overcome adversities while continuing to serve others, particularly women in need.
The outcome of such programs have ensured that our profits are recycled into initiatives that impact other women and girls, while preventing waste and providing product access to those in need.
