I’m so glad you're here and thrilled to finally connect with all of you directly on our platform!
Affirm The Word Literary was always meant to be more than just an e-commerce site. Honestly, I never even planned on having a website—LOL! This company started from one little book I carried around for about three years before the pandemic. The photo for this blog entry is that same white book—the very first Affirm The Word book we ever published. I had no intention of publishing it and would have never imagined all that it has become. But God did!
There’s so much more to this story, and I pray I’ll be able to share more of it in the coming months. My purpose in doing so is not to boast, but to encourage you in your pursuit of God’s best for your life. I am living proof of Luke 9:23-26, where Jesus said that to follow Him, we must take up our cross (our will) and follow Him. If we give our lives to Him, He will give us the life He intended for us.
Life Before Affirm The Word
I accepted Christ when I was 12-years old, but I had no idea what that meant. I also didn’t fully understand what true surrender meant, and subconsciously figured it was an unspoken quid-pro-quo arrangement with God. I couldn’t grasp why the rich young ruler (Mark 10:17-27) walked away sorrowful when Jesus asked him to sell all his possessions. Why wouldn’t he do whatever it took to follow Christ? But I get it now. Hindsight is always 20/20, and it’s easy to say what we would do when we’re not in that moment.
I understand now how hard it can be to give up the security of knowing (or thinking we know) what we’re doing and where we’re going based on our resources. But the truth is, no matter how hard we try to secure our lives, we still can’t predict what will happen.
That’s why walking in total surrender to God’s will is so important. Whatever happens, we can trust it’s His best. Even when it feels like we’re suffering, the pain of stretching will eventually subside as we grow. But the pain from consequences can last longer than we imagine and result in losses that money can’t replace.
Choosing To Surrender
Choosing to surrender my life to this assignment wasn’t entirely voluntary. I didn’t fully understand what it would become. But when I said "yes" to God, I was open to whatever He had in store.
I can truly say that everything I’ve learned—whether in college, the workplace, or life—has been used in some way. God hasn’t let any experience go to waste. I’m living proof of Romans 8:28 and want to encourage you to surrender to God’s plan.
I’m not just talking about being converted at the altar. I’m talking about being transformed through God’s word and fully surrendering to His will. You can’t do that without calling on the Holy Spirit daily to guide you. It’s always been my prayer that our prayer journals, books, and everything else we create serve as spiritual tools to help you on that journey.

Is has a few prayer journal pages in the back.Our Prayer Journal contains scripture sections from the book of Psalms, Proverbs and select letters from the Pauline Epistles. How and where are your books made?
We design all our hardcover spiral journals, which are printed domestically and overseas. Most of our devotionals and prayer books are published by Broadstreet Publishing.
How and where are your apparel items made?
Our apparel and some of our accessories (i.e. mugs, bags, etc) are printed on-demand right here in the USA. They are Made-To-Order, which means each apparel or accessory item is specially made just for you!We support American manufacturing and are constantly researching ways to produce our products as close to home as possible. We also offer free shipping nationwide for orders over $75, so you can both order and enjoy our apparel anywhere! Once your order is paid, we begin processing your items, which usually take between 5—7 days. Made-To-Order items usually ship within a day of completion and arrive within 5 days.
How can I download my Affirm The Word e-Book so I can print it out?
Our e-Books are traditional cloud-based e-books (like Kindle) that require an internet connection to read. Therefore you can not download them to a local hard drive or print them out. If you would like a printed copy, you are welcome to order either a paperback our hardcover spiral copy from our shop.
